Braemar and Scotland has been the inspiration for many artists, fashion designers, poets and authors over the years. Taking inspiration from these, and wanting to celebrate both historic works as well as future talent, the Fife Arms launched the Braemar Literary Festival in 2022 and Festival of Fashion in 2023.
The Braemar Literary Festival, curated and staged by The Fife Arms in collaboration with The Queen’s Reading Room, was established in 2022 and returns in 2026 for its fifth chapter.
A stellar line up is being crafted for 2026 and look forward to unveiling an inspiring programme of authors, thinkers, storytellers and cultural voices. Stay tuned for the full announcement – there are many exciting names to come.
Celebrating fashion’s past, present and most importantly its future, the festival brings together international talent and influential creative voices with the next generation of designers and makers from Scotland and beyond.
Inspired by the legacy of fashion editor Frances Farquharson and designer Elsa Schiaparelli, the 2026 programme is currently in the making. Expect an exciting line up of industry leaders, innovators and cultural collaborators. Full details will be revealed soon.
