The Cellar

Nestled in the heart of the hotel, The Cellar offers a selection of over 50 wines by the glass and over 500 bottles on the list. Featuring a range of classics and icons, the list prides itself on the discovery of smaller domaines and wines of viticulturally mindful practice. From rare fine wine verticals from ‘old world’ estates to thoughtfully curated alpine wines, the growing cellar has something for all curious lovers of the art of wine.

Wine Tastings

Within the intimate setting of the wine cellar, the Fife Arms’ Head Sommelier has created two wonderful tutored wine tastings for guests to enjoy during their stay. The tastings each last an hour and are £65pp. Enhance your experience with the addition of a ‘Ghillie’s Board’, a selection of Scottish cheese and charcuterie curated to complement the wines for £27. The Forgotten Grapes wine tasting celebrates grape varieties once overlooked or forgotten, now rediscovered after decades of obscurity.

In recent years, interest has grown in indigenous grapes that embody terroir, honour regional traditions, and convey a genuine sense of place. These wines are deeply connected to heritage, restoring wine varieties to the world that might otherwise have been lost to time.

In this tasting, explore wines which demonstrate the synergy between river and vineyard.

From the Swiss Alps to the Mediterranean Sea, the Rhône nurtures some of the world’s finest terroirs for wine on a 813-kilometre journey. The river feeds both the celebrated vineyards of the French Rhône and the hidden gems of lesser-known regions that are explored in this curated tasting experience.
